Hello,

Here is one more problematic I would like to get more info or some opinions.

I have heard that with mixing up the electrolyte during charging the charge time can be reduced with up to 30% and this mixing is carried out in big battery station by air.

I read somewhere that the mixing up of the electrolyte could be provoked electrycally by applying short negative voltage pulses during charging.

What is your opinion - it might be true or it is rather a myth and it case it would work if it will reduce the life cycle of the battery by applying these pulses ( effectively changing polarity ) for a short time?

I have not found other source to verify this method and my own electrochemistry knowledge is limited to make directly the consequence.

I'm not sure that I would recommend air mixing, since that might result in entrained air bubbles, which could cause plate problems. Maybe a slow rocking motion might be plausible.

However, I would caution against trying to "speed up" the charging process, as that might cause uneven restoration of the plates, resulting in an overall lower reliability.
