Hello,

I am testing the minimum radius of a face, from a given geometry using following methods.

A.Analysis>Minimum Radius
B.Analysis>Geometric Properties>Dynamic

The minimum value from method A says ( let say 45 mm)
The minimum value from method B says ( <45 mm in many places)

Need to understand how they calculate it? What is the correct method to find the min radius of the face?

The first method originates from the CAM application in NX where one wants to find the largest possible tool to cut a model.
IF (! ) the face is a face of a solid body NX will only report the concave value ( the value which affects the tool selection.) It will not report a smaller but convex value.
If the face is a sheet body, NX will present both concave and convex values. - smallest value on both sides of the face.

The geometric properties will not search for the min value, it will present the value in the position you select.

Can you upload an example ?

Regards,
Tomas
