Working within basic oil refinery I was wonder what is minimum number of workers for distilation, de-paraffination, whitening of oil and paraffines, shaping of oils and paraffines. Can somebody advice the necessary literature, standards etc...

This will be highly dependent on:

1) Level of automation in the plants/refinery,
2) Physical distances between various units,
3) Emergency response situations/requirements
4) Social politics (no layoff of workers - it does appear as a significant factor in some government-owned plants)
5) Operating costs
