if i have 2 equipment and the footings of these two are right next to each other (footing is not monolithic) is there a minimum distance between the 2?

i cannot combine the footings.

but i worry about foundation rotation.

Over the course of 40+ years of concrete construction, I have seen many instances of spread footing abutting spread footings with only a "paper" joint between them.

From my perspective as an engineer, I would feel comfortable with this as long as their respective soil bearing pressures were similar along the abutting edges. You might consider requiring a 1/2" joint filler or polystyrene between them to permit either to rotate slightly with respect to the other.

What is the footing size, load and soil bearing capacity.

They should be the same depth to avoid one foundation loading the other.
