An old 2-storey building whose foundation soil is in constant saturation due to groundwater arising from seasonal changes maybe undergo subsidence in future as the soil mechanical properties undergoes variable changes. Now it was recommended that to stabilize the footing it is appropriate to transfer the structural load to a more stable strata using Mini piles. May i get a more practical approach on how to connect the existing column to pile cap, considering the existing pad foundation.
