MIL-H-6875H HEAT TREATMENT OF STEEL was superseded 2 Feb 1999 by AMS-H-6875 Heat Treatment of Steel Raw Materials ($59 from SAE). However, it appears to me that SAE split out the heat treatments of 4 classes of finished steel parts into 4 more specs., e.g., AMS 2759/3 Heat Treatment Precipitation-Hardening Corrosion-Resistant and Maraging Steel Parts, each at $59 nonmember price, so it costs 5 x $59 to get the equivalent of MIL-H-6875H. Can someone confirm this?
