Hello all, we all know that middle click rotates your model about the origin. However, I just discovered that if you middle click on an object you will get some constraints which may be handy:

Middle click - select point : The point becomes the origin of rotation.

Middle click - select edge : The edge becomes your axis of rotation.

Middle click - select face : The face becomes your plane of rotation.

I could only get these to work with flat/straight things, your selection should turn pink and your icon will change to what looks like a line integral.

This has been around since SW04; I didn't use SW before that so I don't know if this was available before then.

That's been around for a long time circa 2000. It's a great tool if you zoomed in on a large assembly.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.

SW2007 doesn't require a wheel click anymore to maintain focus when you rotate. I have to re-teach myself to stop wheel clicking on vertices now.
