I am doing some research on "hard" metric structural supplies based on the DIN standard. Does anyone know what the metric anchor bolt standards are for diameter and strength (yield and ultimate)? I am not looking for a US conversion but, common diameters using DIN standards.

Thanks,

Mike

Let me say that metric may not be universal. I work with Australian shapes and bolts and they are not necessarily the same as those used in Europe. Australia has its own standards.

However in Australia, diameters include 12mm, 16, 20, 24, 30, and 36mm. Grades are written in the form of X.Y where X is the strength in hundreds of megapascals and Y is the ratio between yield and ultimate strengths. Standard grades are 4.6 (similar to A307) and 8.8 (similar to A325). I can't prove it because I don't use them, but I believe that there is 10.9 and possible 12.9.

I'm not at the office so I can't offer a good reference.
