In my works site, I responsible to verify piling’s location and verticality. If the design pile is in vertical, I use Total station to observe the bearing of two edge of pile and measure the mid point of distance to find coordinate of piling in actual location. However, if the pile is a raked and have a proposed gradient. How can I find the centre of pile when using a total station? Thank you.
