Hi,

We are involved in a project and we are looking for a method to know the necessary flow rate to have a pipe completely full. On one side of the pipe we have a tank, on the other side the pipe is open. Any help, book reference or link will be very wellcome.

thanks

See thread124-177112. Search is a wondrous thing.

"Belief" is the acceptance of an hypotheses in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
The plural of anecdote is not "data"

The hydraulic grade line must be at a higher elevation than all points along the pipeline.
If the hydraulic grade line intersects the pipe, or goes under and later returns above, the pipe will not flow full, or will not flow full within that section, respectively.

Independent events are seldomly independent.
