Metal Panel as form deck

Working on a pedestrian bridge with a snow melt system in the concrete deck. We need insulation under the slab for heat loss so have detailed concrete on rigid insulation on form deck and are concerned about water getting into the deck flutes and causing problems. Has anyone heard of or used an insulated metal panel as a concrete form? Manufacturer's I've talked with seem a little uneasy but the loads and spans seem reasonable. Searches turn up plenty of ICF systems but would like the added durability of the steel exposed underside.

Because of the heat transfer likely from the slab to the supporting girders/beams, I would consider a topping slab over insulation above the primary structural slab to minimze heat transfer and maximize the effectiveness of the snow-melt system.

Depending upon the environment, metal deck (be it form deck or composite metal deck) will experience corrosion over time due to moisture accumulation between the bottom of the slab and the top of the deck. Providing a really "tight" concrete can minimize this, but it will still occur.

Metal deck was used as concrete deck forms at my job site. Water came out when a hole was drilled in the bottom of the deck. We're still looking into it.
