Hi,

Been searching over the net regarding MESC NDE / NDT test for valves, all I can see are pressure test, seat test and others.

Is there such an MESC standard for NDE / NDT testing for On-Off and Control Valves?

Thank you.

I recommend speaking with an NDT testing source about this. I can recommend some if you like.

Best regards,

MESC SPE 77-302 - Valves, General Requirements

*** Per ISO-4126, the generic term
'Safety Valve' is used regardless of application or design ***

*** 'Pressure-relief Valve' is the ASME/API used term ***

Hi,

you are asking specific supplementary from specific end user (Shell). Better to consult with their representative or your counterpart in this case.
Would not find it anywhere in the net, at least the updated version one.
Yes, as per Obturator recommend, it is MESC SPE 77-302.
In summary, Inspection Level criteria is segregated into 4 categories, having Level 1 is very basic (industrial standard) up to Level 4 (things like 100% X-ray, full PMI, full DPI, etc.). of course there are a lot more details in it.

regards,
Danlap
