I have already called tech support and sent me a copy of the board drawing for the reset tabs labeled R, but the drawing was for the later unit (90000x-98000x) as I need info from a 90000x-80000x boards which is totally different, with no tabs labeled R.

I have tried a couple tabs that were free and tried them and still no reset. Meriam does have any other info on this, other than trying to sell me a new unit.

Just wondred if anyboday had any experiance on another approach to this.

Thanks...

I am not affiliated with Meriam, but I was for a pretty good portion of my career. I checked with my contacts there. They tell me there has never been another method for reset, and the board codes you reference make your unit 20(+) years old.

IMHO: there may be an additional problem with your device besides needing to be reset, and after that much time in service you have received good value for your investment.

Thanks Jim, Sounds like I need a drawing for the 20 plus year old unit as I suspected with 90000-80000x boards which they do not have.

Hate to throw it out if it still works. The output voltage is lower as 19vdc with age. If I can verify the tabs for a reset and nothing improves, then I will know for sure the unit is trashed.

Also the manual states a lithium battery and wonder if that has to be removed before the reset? Also were is the battery located and or what board it is on as did not really see one when I had it apart.

Just a thought.
