Speaking professionally (I work for Air Liquide, so I have to skirt the forum rules here) you have not given enough information to determine if a membrane would work or be economically viable.
A metal membrane (Pt/Pd) separates great, but is not cost effective at much more than bench scale. A polymer membrane might work, but have a more limited temperature range and the "small amount of other gases" might be a show stopper if the other gas is say methylene chloride or HCl. This also becomes a cost issue, as the systems have a minimum size to be worth the manufacturers cost
