Mechanism Simulation Part Interference??

I'm trying to create an analysis in Mechanism where a force is applied to a plate. The plate is attached to a base part by springs.

The plate is assembled by a planar constraint that I've defined limits that will roughly limit the movement of the plate. However that are some rotations that I can't predict and the plate will interfere with the base part and the simulation does not reflect reality.

How can I keep the parts from interfering to make the simulation realistic?

Thanks.

You can use cam connections between surfaces that can not interfere. Enable lift-off to allow them to separate if you don't want them "stuck" together.

Thanks for the suggestion Mloew. Setting the surfaces up as CAMs has done the trick. Although it doesn't seem like a terribly intuitive step.
