Mechanism cam surface contact

I want my cam follower to be a surface rather than a point as the follower wraps around the cam as attached, doesn't look like I can do this with a cam mate as you can only choose a cylinder, plane, or point as the follower. Looks unlikely, but I'm after something that will give me a surface to surface 'contact set' - probably a work around?

BTW, yes I know its not the best design, this is a reverse engineered existing component.
