1. When I create one mechanisam from some parts (with apropriete mates) it works just fine. But if this mechanisam is sub-assembly in another assembly, that mechanisam don’t work any more.

2. In Drawing I put one view of some part. Can I make partial section cut in this view ? I don’t want new view with detail of the section, just section cut at some depth .. on the original view.

Sorry on my bad english ...

To help us better explain your options, could you please tell us Which version of SW are you are using? :-)

Thanks, Scott Baugh, CSWP :-)

SW 2001, without any update's.
Tnx ...

You should try this assembly in SW01+. It is available for Downloading now at the SW website. From the way I read your post I think SW01+ has accomplished what your looking for in Q1.

As for Q2 you can do Half Sections of the original (Drawing) part. Which could work for you, but that depends on how the part was designed. As for making a partial section of a spoke in a wheel the answer is no, not that I'm aware of. Of course, I don't make a lot of drawings anymore either.

I hope that helps, Scott Baugh, CSWP :-)

As I understand your post:

1. Once you have an assembly mated that functions, ie.. moves in some capacity the way you want it, then insert that assembly into another, then the movement in the second assembly ceses because it moves as a complete unit, therefore is locked by the system.

2. You might make a configuration with the cut that you want in the model to accomplish what you want.

1. I figure that out, and I hope that SW2001+ will help on this problem... Btw. when SW2002 will go out ?

2. This is very good (interesting) idea. Not very nice, but it will do for now. I will just need to add hatch. This will probably work with assembly's too ... I'l try it ...

I love this forum, and tnx for any response ...

From version 2001 on, you can set the option "FLEXIBLE SUB-ASSY" in the sub-assy's properties.
This enables the sub-assy's motion even from the top assy level.
