Good morning,

I am new to the heat treating process. We got the 7050-T74 aluminum test results - Failed yield. S/B 72.0 ksi max. measured at 73.6 ksi. Please advise if we can rework? and how to rework.
In addition, is there any website (links) to learn how to rework and which process to rework for something similar to this. For instance, failed conductivity, hardness. I am very appreciated your advices.

Billy Le,

How did it fail in yield? Is it in two pieces? Is it stretched or bent?

If the part is physically damaged and it needs to be high strength, you need a new one.
