Does anyone really understand the licensing of Pro/Mechanica?

I have the following modules:
Pro/MECHANICA Independent Mode: 159
Pro/MECHANICA INTERFACE: MECUG_INTF
Pro/MECHANICA INTERFACE: MECINTERFCE_INTF

Stand-Alone Pro/MECHANICA STRUCTURE: MECSTRUCENG_ST
Stand-Alone Pro/MECHANICA STRUCTURE: MECSTRUCUI_ST

Pro/ENGINEER Mechanica: MECBASICENG_License
Pro/ENGINEER Mechanica: MECBASICUI_License

We also have a 90 day evaluation of:
Pro/ENGINEER Advanced Mechanica: 211
Pro/ENGINEER Advanced Mechanica: 212

Now can someone tell me if the advantages/disadvantages of the Standalone modules?
Can the Standalone modules do everything that the Advanced Mechanica can?

We have a bolted assembly with preloads and to run the analysis from with Pro/E requires the Adavnced license. What I want to know is if we can the same the analysis from the Standalone licenses we have? If we can't, then we will have to purchase the Advanced module.

Ben,

As far as I am aware:
PTC has changed the way they package Mechanica. It used to be that you bought Structure and/or Thermal each of which gave full functionality. Now they have changed the packaging to "basic" and "advanced", where basic gives some structural and thermal capabilities, advanced gives all.
The "old" structure license which you have should give you full structural capabilities, and allow you to do preloaded bolts.

Couldn't you test this by temporarily removing the Basic & Advanced licenses from your license pack?

With the Pro/E Mechanica basic license can it do conatct and non-linear geometry problems? Can it do design optimizationand update the Pro/E model?

As far as I've been informed:

The basic license:
Contact: YES
Non-linear geometry: NO if you mean large deformation
Optimisation & update Pro/E model: YES

The Advanced license:
2D Analyses (plane strain, plane stress, 2D axi-sym)
Transient Thermal
Large deformation
Prestress static & modal
Vibration - Dynamic Time/Frequency/Shock/Random
Non Isotropic materials ie. composites
Advanced bolts & weighted links
Advanced mass & springs
FEM meshing for Ansys/Nastran
Independant Mechanica
