Hi
I'm using Creo 2.0
I have a pressure vessel with a cover on top of it.
There is a gasket(Sweet White Rubber) that form the seal between the neck & lid.
The problem is that Creo 2.0 sees this connection as a Rigid connection and deforms the lid the same as the barrel. This is incorrect.
Can someone please help me out here as there are far to much stress on my lid because of this

Why would think the lid would be behave differently than the barrel? They face the same pressure and are using the same bolt hole circle and clamping pressure.

Are you deforming the barrel through some other pressure or load, and think the lid will "slide" across the gasket so that force won't be transmitted to the lid?

The lid would not behave the same as the Barrel/Neck as the gasket(Sweet White Rubber) takes the shape of the neck to ensure a perfect seal.
as you will see by my snapshot the lid blows up to the side, the same as the neck but it shouldn't

Sorry for some reason my picture didn't want to upload. Because the lid is not attached to the neck by a rigid connection the lid should deform equally but Creo sees this as a rigid connection(welded part).
