Hi:

I'm trying to figurre out how many measuring compaction methods are using around the world, I know some nevertheles from time to time some guy refer a method that might or might not exist

I'm familiar with methods used in US, Mx and Canada, please let me know of other methods that i'm missing

Sand cone
Rubber Ballon
nuclear gage
Elephant nose (ja! I'm not joking is a standard in MX regulations)
Drive cylinder
Sleeve Method
TDR (time Domain Reflectometry) method
RAPID METHOD

I know there are some researching of impedance methods to measure moisture and density, penetration by a cone. I appreciate your answers

If you consider changes in relative density a measure of compaction, there are correlations to SPT N-value (in sands) in conjunction to effective stress methods too.
