Anyone know a device where a UT probe is moved around a mounting ring and an algorithm creates a continuous profile of the pipeline thickness/slice?

A hand?

There are strips mesh which you can wrap around.

But why? And how accurate/ how many points?

Search internet ROBOTIC CRAWLER (depend of pipe diameter).

I searched for the wrong thing, but that's what I meant. LPS for Steve.

I think there are also permanent bands or meshes you can apply which measure thickness frequently, but I could be mistaken.
It might be strain guage meshes that I'm thinking of.

Thanks for the references. Looks like good systems for finding bulk metal loss and thinning over large areas. How would these systems work where we are looking for small groves from erosion corrosion?
