Hello everybody,

I not very sure what unit I should consider. I am using mmNs when I am
assigning the material, therefore if I am reading accelleration I
should read it as mm/s^2, and if I am looking at displacement I should
read mm.

Is that correct?

I never had this sort of problem with other software, they are
non-dimensional, abd as long as you set your on convention then you
read m/s^2 and so on.....

Thanks

Fabio,

You are correct. If you are working on mmNs system the units of acceleration will be mm/s^2 and displacement should be mm. By the way, in reality all other software are dimensional in nature the trick is to make sure the model and material properties must be defined using the same system of units.
