My apologies in advance, but being a lone user coupled with my inexperience I rely on you folks!

Just brought a new licence + an upgrade (sw03 - sw05) I was hoping that the sw05 office would replace my SW03. Anyhow we have ended up with SW05 office on another machine and the upgrade of sw05 on my machine.

I would like it the other way round so I don’t have to switch desks etc, when creating edrawings.(would switching dongles work?)

Also I was under the impression that that sectioning command was in edrawings not just edrawings pro, this mean its only any good when in the sw05 office seat.

Please correct me if I’m wrong here.

James

You should be able to download a free copy of eDrawings that will work for you.

Best Regards,

Heckler

Do you trust your intuition or go with the flow?

Switching dongles should work, but you may have to reinstall the software on the respective machines.

I agree with Heckler & PDMAdmin.
Do you have the SW license on a server or the separate pc's?

I think the licence is on the pc.

Another thing can I disable the dwg/dxf editor? As I still use MDT

Check out the Guide on installing a SNL network at
Also I do not recommended you do an upgrade... do a new install of the seat.

Sounds like you have 2 seats available. The way an SNL works is like this:

1) You put the Dongle on one seat and install the License manager.
2) Read the license file on the seat that has the Dongle and the License manager on it.
3) Then install SW on that seat and also install a seaton the other machine as a client. Note: You have to set it up using the guide information.
4) When everything is set up correctly, you can luanch SW. 5) When you launch SW you have to check your add-ins. Because if you have any of the Office add-ins checked it will remove the Office from the License manager and only leave a single seat of SW.

FYI Heckler and ctopher,

Having just the viewer will do you no good if the users want to use the Edrawing Pro, if they don't have the proper License file or Reg code...

Hope that helps... Regards,
