Hi All,

I think Pro/E has a big problem with MDO.

When I create many Cam/Follower relationships with springs or dampers, the mechanism doesnt work correctly.

The main problem I have is with collision detection. The Cam/Follower relationship is not enough. When the velocity is high, the parts will interfere and will not collide.

Any one has an acceptable solution for this?

Thanks

Elamir,

What I have been told in the past (by a PLM from PTC for MDO) is to decrease the time step interval in the analysis

Elamir,

I am not sure which release you are using. I am using WF 2 M050 and my major tasks are MDO related. And so far I have created huge assemblies without any problem and those having lots of cam-followers. You have the option of custom loads as well.

You could also try to change the tolerance value in Mechanism mode. Select Edit>Settings > Relative Tolerance and enter 0.00001. I think the standard value is 0.001.

Ciao!
