if it passes MDE (which is conservative) than why bother with another test?
if you are going to run a secondary test, than it might be better to do a mag. sulfate test instead of LA Abrasion. See table 4 and conclusions of the referenced paper
Very much appreciated , you see we are used to getting very close results between LA and MDE and we conduct them both for every aggregate used for concrete and pavements its systematic. Sure LA suffice in its own especially for concrete design , but this is the way we do it .
