Max slab thickness over a wood framed floor 1

For some reason I thought there was a code reference stating that the max slab or masonry thickness over a wood framed floor
was 4 inches.

Can anyone confirm this, or perhaps point me in the right direction from a code reference stand point?

Away from my office but I think it is in the IBC. For what it’s worth I recall the 4” limit too.

The 4" limit was revised in IBC 2006.
"Structure Magazine", April 2006 has an explanation.

IBC 2003 has this restriction:
