Hi all,
I had created a company materials database quite a while back. When trying to apply a material from there to a new part, I got the attached message.
Any ideas?
SW2007
sp1.1

Three suggestions:

1. Update to at least S/W 2007 SP3.0, as there is a rather bad file size bug in previous versions.

2. When providing an image of an error window, please use ALT-Print Screen instead of just Print Screen, so that only the window itself is saved, instead of the whole screen.

3. You have an error in your Material Database at the location specified. It could be a simple typo, or a misplaced line, or maybe an incorrect use of one of the tags. If I remember correctly, this error message measures lines not including word wrapping. I would double check the material at that location. You can edit your material file directly with NOTEPAD.

Just a WAG, but I would say you probably have an error in your database. I'd start by looking at the content of the file
"c:\program files\solidworks\lang\english\sldmaterials\spinewave materials.sldmat"
Probably around line 35, column 114 you have some invalid element content. Check the content there against some that you know is valid.
