Looking for ideas on material(Brick Shape with holes) for use in electric fired kiln temperature 2000*F and withstand the wear from inserting and removing of ceramic insulator plugs? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
Bill
You have many options. 2000 F is cool in the refractory world. An alumina based product from a supplier like Leco in Michigan or Blasch in New York is a starting point. You'll have to do the trade-off dance of wear resistance vs thermal conductivity vs cost.
