Dear All,
We have a project that requires repair of equipment nozzle which is equivalent to replacement of welding neck flange. The intended procedure is to remove the flange by undercutting the flange hub then grind off the nozzle to the portion where it was welded before and then, put the new flange. Would it be possible to reweld again the flange on the same spot?Im worried that the material of metal was already altered in that portion. My thought is that it will be better to do the repair covering some part of the nozzle neck rather than rewelding on the same spot. Appreciate your advise on this. Thank you all.
