Material spec on sheetmetal drawing

Is there a more up to date equivalent to the following material spec for cold rolled steel plate used for formed sheetmetal parts:-
CRS CR4 BS1449

Not sure this is right but this is what I use...

xx GA COLD ROLLED COMMERCIAL QUALITY (CRCQ)COLD ROLLED STEEL PER ASTM A1008.

Replace "xx" with your desired gage of sheetmetal.

Thanks for the info. However, I was wondering if there was a european or UK spec which was more up to date.
