Hi,

I need some information, kindly provide:
what material of tank / vessel is recommended for the storage of liquid nitrogen. The expected Min. Design Temperature would be -320 Deg F.

Regards

Naqi

One option is stainless. 304L is used for a lot of crygenic applications. There is a large CTE to work with, but there is no ductile/brittle trasition to worry about.

Neither should your protection

9% Ni steels and aluminum alloys (especially for tanks used in transport) are also used.
