I am modelling foot by segmenting 19 bones of foot in MIMICS and generating mesh in Matics software. Can someone please confirm material properties to be given to foot bones in Abaqus...Most of research papers state 7300 MPa young's modulus, 0.3 poisson's ratio given to foot bones...I am confused should I give this material property to every bone separately as I don't want to merge these bones into 1 part in abaqus. Moreover I am giving each bone a density of 4.49e-10 tonnes/mm3 in dynamic/implicit.

These values seem correct. I would use higher density though (about 1600 kg/m^3).

You can create a single section with this bone material in Abaqus and assign it to all bones. It won’t merge them into a single part.

Wouldn't you be defining some material "bone_material" that has these properties and then making assigning each bone to "bone_material"?

TTFN (ta ta for now)
