Material orientation issue

Hi,

I used the same orientation for all parts but the problem persists in 5 of the 7 parts forming this girder, as you can see in the attached picture. I couldn't run my model properly because of this error:

Error in job Job-4: The user defined normal of the material orientation of 20239 elements, as defined in *ORIENTATION, is orthogonal to the GASKET, COHESIVE, SHELL or MEMBRANE normal direction. Check input data. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemUserNormMatOrient.

Does anyone know the solution for this?

What kind of elements is that ? You may have to change the stacking direction. Check the documentation chapter "Orientations" (paragraqph "Use with shell, membrane, or gasket elements or contacr surfaces".
