At my company we use SW, Pro/E and ANSYS products. I am working on a way to have a single (or perhaps mirrored) databases so (for example) if the SW designers selects material "XYZ", the Analyst can go to ANSYS and select "XYZ" and get the exact same thing. We are thinking about storing this in a ACCESS database, and then writing a script to output each of the 3 database file types.

Any further thoughts or options you can think of?
