Is there a way to associate the material given by the Tools->Material Properties to the parts list? I.e. AISI_Steel_1005 instead of having to use the attributes?
Thanks.

What do you mean by "instead of having to use the attributes"? When assigning a material using the...

Tools -> Materials -> Assign Materials...

...the system automatically creates both Part and Object Attributes referencing the material name. These Attributes, when they are inherited by the Component when added to an Assembly, are intended to be used if someone requires that the Material be referenced in a Parts List or by some Drawing annotation. This is the approach that we expect our customers to take for something like this.

Ok thanks John. I wasn't sure if I had to manually assign an attribute or if it would call it out when uising the Assign Materials feature. Again thanks a ton.
