I design pile caps foundation by safe software (csi) and i make isolated pile caps , the thing is that ground water table is very high so i have to put mat between the pile caps with small thickness ,the question is shall i put springs under this mat (loads of the mat will be gone direct to the soil) or suppose the piles will be taken it's load and in this case no need springs under the mat .
