Hi
I'm finishing my undergraduate studies in the aeronautical engineering field. And I decided to continue my education with a master's degree. But I have to choose between two kind of masters: Master of science in aeronautical engineering (aerodynamic field) or the master of aerospace engineering (M.eng). I understand the difference in the curriculum and requirements for both degrees.
I'm wondering, however, does the professional world see the two degrees as equal or different when employer's are seeking someone with a master's degree? Would one degree be considered better than the other? When would one be preferred over the other and why?

Hi Khaliloush!

So, you got almost, the first step!!! My almost congratulations!

What you want to do? In what are you expect to be really good at? What are your strong points and the weak points?

- Aerodynamics, that's an amazing field!!! But you don't get good money with that! (That´s my case! I even got a patent!) Because it's a very narrow field, if you look at it from outside. So, not so many good companies, I mean a few job possibilities!

- But if go, for Aircraft engineering, you have plenty of fields to work on, including Aerodynamics, once for while!
I would choose this wide branch.

- Aerospace, is something different, very different, even there are common points. If you like it, the stars are the limit, however it is always a though decision!

I just leave some "tips" for all options:
1. Enquire where there will be more potencial jobs, in your near-future?
2. Try to see if those are converging with your strong points, where you have the possibility to be good at
Then, the answer will come out, almost natural!
Good luck and a good Future. You have to deserve it!
