How do I specify the material or density of a solid so that when I get mass prop. I have an actual mass. Right now I get the same mass as I do volume b/c it defaults to a density of 1, I asssume. Where can I change this?

Thanks

"Mass is the measure of inertia of a body. Because AutoCAD uses a density of one, mass and volume have the same value."

This has been taken directly from the Mass Properties table in AutoCAD Command help...

Sorry, but there is no changing this in AutoCAD. I am not familiar with Mechanical Desktop but I think it has a density parameter that can be entered.

Yes- This is a long recognized shortcoming. All I am aware of is to multiply the mass value X the weight / CU-IN of your material. Silly isn't it?
Good luck.
