Mass scaling in metal cutting simulation

Hi all, In the simulation, mass scaling can be used in quasi-static processes, but can we use mass scaling in dynamic processes such as metal cutting? Mass scaling significantly impacts the simulation in high-speed rotary cutting, and the output kinetic energy is always much larger than the internal energy. Still, without mass scaling, the simulation takes too long. How can I determine the mass scaling coefficient to ensure the simulation efficiency and simultaneously improve reliability? Can anyone solve my difficulty? Thanks!
 
This is explained in the documentation chapter "Mass scaling" (paragraph "Dynamic analysis" in the "Introduction" section). In short words, you can use mass scaling also in some dynamic analyses (even those involving impact) but it should be used only to scale the mass of a few very small elements at the beginning of the analysis.
