Here are some things on the consideration list for pipe/frame. We are prioritizing these right now, so if you (or anyone else) would like to weigh in feel free. If you had 100 points to use, how would you allocate to these?
Frame
- Better origin positioning on frame profile. More than just the 9 handle points. Easier use of the centroid of the profile as the origin.
- Better BOM information -- Correct BOM and mass for all modified frame members (accounting for all the odd cuts and such)
- Patterning of Frame Elements
Pipe
- Put pipe class on the route segments rather than at populate. More like Solid Edge wiring.
- Place a component manually, then change the route dia, it should replace this component.
- There should be more valves in the standard parts library.
- Should have 0, 90, 180, 270 rotations for inline components like valves.
- During replace, there should be filtering for using the same dia during the replace.
- Gradient - Need to be able to have a slope to a pipe - say a 5" drop over a 10 foot span
- Allow placement of valves and such directly from disk or TC, rather than via standard parts UI (don't have to load into std parts)
