Can someone direct me to an ACI standard that gives guidance on the placement of vertical control joints in masonry walls? Specifically I am looking for language that addresses the detailing of vertical control joints at the bond beam and other intermediate horizontal reinforcement.
Thanks in advance.

You will find very little at ACI. They defer masonry details to other organizations that work with them on the masonry standards as part of the MSJC such as ACI530/ASCE 5/TMS 402.

Go to the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA.org) site.

Go to the TEK Notes area and click on any convenient location/producer (it doesn't matter which one).

They have over 100 very good TEK Notes on the design and use of concrete masonry.
