Manifold Inspection

I have a question pertaining to Hydraulic Manifold/Subplate production.

If you were to inspect a hydraulic manifold from a new supplier. What would some of the basic guidelines you would use to approve of the product?

Ask them for an inspection report.

Request details of hole positions, thread depth, cleanliness and removal of burrs.

If thread tolerance is important, ask for those details too.

In fact, ask for whatever you need to be sure that it will do what's required. You're paying for it, so ask for what you need.

You must answer the question, "Inspect to what?". Was the part made to a commercial specification? Inspect to that. Was the part made to your specification? Inspect to that.
