Hi,

I need to manufacture a flat spring that when loaded will activate a switch.
The load that will be applied is very small about 0.05N and it will be applied at the centre of the spring.

Below is an image of how it will operate.

I would like to know how difficult it would be to manufacture something like this. I have searched all over and cannot find information on small flat springs.

Many Thanks

Thanks for the information desertfox.

mwenye,
You can find the equations you need to solve this in the SMI handbook go to smihq.org. They sell many books which should help you find the answer.
