Hi,

Does anyone know how to make a solid from a .STL file?
I have a vertebra model, then it's not looking like any primitive solids.

Maybe I can convert my .STL vertebra to a IGES, if it's easier to create the solid from an IGES.

Hi,

When you will import an iges file (or stl) you will import in fact only surfaces. So, you have to create solids from surfaces (thick surfaces, close surface or other kind of situations).

Regards
Fernando

stl files are not surfaces files.
They are facets or triangle approximation of the original surfaces.
