I faced a technical issue concerning the safety regulations and precautions in case of maintenance activities in EX panels at Zone 0,1 and 2; is there any restriction to use IS components in each zone even panels already considered EX but the problem is how to deal in case of activities with open panels (no EX proof).
I faced this problem when changing to DCS system and some components not supplied as Intrinsically Safe.
is there a code to limit performing such activities in each zone considering some cases need to be online (deal with power source ON).
