please explain principle of operation with schematic drawing, if it is so good why it is not implemented in all pumps.

roker Besides cost which may not be an issue depending on the type of seal you need in a standard pump. Mag drives have many limitations. Eddie current is dissipated as heat in pumps that have metal containment cans. The bearings are in the product so they must be compatible with the fluid being pumped. They have tight clearances for cooling and lubrication so viscous products are a problem. The thrust loads must be handled by thrust plates or something along that line and their in the product. There is a limited amount of torque that can be transmitted so high specific gravity or discharge pressure is a problem. The pumps are heavy and tend to attract your tools when you are working on them. It can be tough to separate the magnets when working on them. You better keep your distance if you have a pace maker. But they are great in applications that suit them.

Other issues with magdrives :
1. They cannot be implemented for dirty fluids due to the hydrobearings using the pumped fluid as lubricant.
2. They shall not be used for variable duty points - the hydrobearings are designed for a certain flow at a certain pressure - any change and the life expectancy of the bearings is doomed.
3. They do not like frequent stop/starts - until the rotation of the inner part and the outer rotor is synchronised - a significant thermal energy is produced - and the magnets do not like high temperature.
4. High cost of repairs. And they will suffer frequent repairs if any of the previous points is not respected.
5. High cost of the initial equipment - economically it makes sense to look to magdrives if the nature of the pumped fluid will impose a double mechanical seal with buffer systems - for benign fluids apllications the cost is not justifiable.

Power Monitor in Mag driven pumps

We are running Ansimag pumps since 1997.
All pumps are monitored by the DKP , one of the monitors suggested by the vendor.
Now, we try to find an alternative supplier of these devices. Have you any advice on this ?
All pumps are in the 5-11 kw ...
