Hi,

Although my background is in embedded software, recently I've been involved in mechanical design from the point of view of project management and procuring CAD software. Now, I realize I'm not fully qualified for this role since I'm not a mechanical engineer by training, but we don't have a full-time mechanical engineer on staff and won't anytime soon. I'm going to make the best of it and frankly looking forward to learning about a new field.

My question is, are there any free or not-free magazines that 3D designers like to read? If so I should probably start flipping through them to get a handle on the industry jargon, primarily to prepare myself to deal with software salesmen. (Of course I'm also studying mechanical engineering "for real" too.)

Regards,

Tim
