I have an ANSI metric specification B18.3.3M that only lists 6.5mm, 13mm & 25mm diameter socket head shoulder screws. SolidWorks toolbox only has 6.5mm, 13mm & 25mm socket head shoulder screws. I have an Unbrako slide reference guide that only lists 6.5mm, 13mm & 25mm socket head shoulder screws.
I also have an Unbrako and MSC catalogs that only list 6mm, 12, & 24mm socket head shoulder screws, and when I called Unbrako they could only tell me that 6 & 12mm diameters are the only sizes available.
I don’t get it. [cry] Does any one know this history?

Surprisingly I haven't ran into this before.

I can't find a refernce to 6.5, 13, or 25mm nominal sizes.

(Machinery Handbook 26th edition or a Holo-Krome slide ref.)

I also haven't seen these sizes in the last 10 years or so while using metric hardware exclusively. They almost seem like bastardized "inch" sizes.

As for Solidworks I wouldn't put too much trust in models I haven't personally created or verified.
