I am looking for an M3x0.5 castle nut but i cant find them anywhere, I only found a slotted round nut at M3 size but i prefer the castle nut.

Any idea where i can get them?

M3 is pretty small. The smallest McMaster Carr nut is M6.

what about M3 slotted nuts, its similar to the castle nuts

kellez,

What size Cotter pins are you using?

I dodnt really want to use cotter pins, the main reason i want to use slotted or castle nuts is because there is not enough space to fit a 4-way wrench in order to hold the nut in place to be able to tighten and untighten the bolt. However I am also limited on the thickness of the the nut that i can use at 6.0mm

Therefore an alternative is to use slotted or castle nuts where you can use the slots to hold the nut in place.

some other solutions are

1. alen nuts

2. Barrel nuts - head diameter is too large for my use

3. chicago bolts - too thick for my use
